CSA works at the pleasure of the Academy Board of Directors to implement the goals of the Board and the guiding links of the charter. The management agreement will clearly stipulate the services that CSA will provide and the outcomes for which CSA expects to be held accountable. We also welcome and request an annual performance review so that the Board may assess CSA's accomplishments.

School Culture
- Leadership development program for Board of Directors and all employees
- Development of collaborative school culture that reflects dignity, meaning and sense of community for the school family
- Recommend and administer discipline practices
Legal and Compliance
- Comply with local, state, and federal constitutional, statutory, and judicial matters
- Maintain Academy records in compliance with state and federal law
- Comply with Authorizer requirements and maintain Academy records system at the Academy Board of Directors' office
- Manage pupil accounting according to state procedures
- Maintain proper system of pupil records
Executive Responsibilities
- Generate policies and procedures for the Board's consideration
- Implement quality management practices
- Be readily accessible and responsive to Board, school staff, and parents when appropriate

Instructional Programs
- Implement educational program outlined in charter in an efficient and effective manner
- Implement an effective curriculum alignment process and prepare students for taking high stakes tests such as MEAP and other standardized tests
- Facilitate and monitor the instructional program with the Principal
- Ensure the use of multiple assessments in evaluating student achievement
- Develop, communicate, and implement an effective student progress reporting system
- Communicate student progress to the Board through the Principal
Accountability
- Develop accountability model with the approved charter and the Board's direct involvement
- Carry out program evaluation consistent with mission, goals, and objectives established by the charter and school improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement Code of Student Conduct to ensure proper conditions for teaching and learning and for safe building and grounds
Finance
- Manage financial functions
- Development and administration of budget

- Prepare state and federal grants for the Academy
- Seek additional funding from private sources and foundations
Facilities Management
- Oversee building and grounds maintenance and improvement
- Use utilities and environmental controls in a balanced manner to ensure cost-efficiency and comfort for learning
- Recommend and manage building expansion needs
- Recommend and administer policies for community use of school plant
Community Relations
- Carry out an aggressive public relations program
- Develop and carry out the marketing plan adopted by the Board and funded in the budget
- Establish an open environment for parents and teachers to communicate with one another and the Board
Information Systems
- Develop and implement technology use and training program
- Establish an electronic village for the Academy to eliminate as much paperwork as possible and to ensure an effective communications system
- Use oral, written, and paperless communications accurately and qualitatively
